*We are currently seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist focused on  identifying solutions that drive value for our target chooser in the  cognitive analytics space as part of the Client Professional Onvation*  platform (IoT / Smart Products). Specifically, this person will work with  our business partners to craft offerings for our target choosers that  provide them with actionable insights and drive progress against relevant  business metrics. *

*The role is critical to developing an innovation pipeline to fuel  continued relevance in the market. The incumbent will be a key contributor  to developing strategies to harness the power of the data collected in the  connected system and identify new opportunities for growth based on a  strong understanding of market trends and unmet chooser needs. This  position requires an individual who thrives in a rapid learning cycle  environment and is comfortable with technologies that support connected  devices (Internet of Things). *

*The Data Scientist is responsible for integrating business, information,  and technology into analytical models that help drive business performance  and competitive advantage and providing the business with answers to  questions. The role collaborates with the business product innovation team, 

development team, relevant business stakeholders, and IT colleagues to  create value from varied data sources. Creating value from data requires a  range of talents: from data integration and preparation, to architecting  specialized computing/database environments, to data mining and intelligent  algorithm development. This role is viewed as an expert in making sense of  complex data environments, encompassing both business data and process  understanding and technical expertise. Leads in developing innovative,   technical solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating  problems. Has strong knowledge in business and technical functions that are  touch points with their area of expertise. Provides technical consulting on  complex projects. Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for  other team members. Is knowledgeable in industry best practices in their  area of expertise and uses resources outside of Client to deliver  solutions. *

*The incumbent must be able to: *

*• Work effectively with technology development, commercialization and life  cycle maximization teams for planning and hand-offs *

*• Plan and carry out project responsibilities with limited assistance and  direction *

*• Communicate and document project plans and results to key stakeholders *

*• Develop robust timelines, budgets, and resource forecasts *

*Responsibilities include: *

*• Partnering with business and market research team members to develop and  execute plans to gather customer insights in support of strategic business  plan goals *

*• Leading customer focused new solution development activities *

*• Leading activities associated with the concept feasibility stage of  product development (e.g. concept creation, concept testing) *

*• Leading commercialization activities for identified solutions *

*• Leveraging Open Innovation to create a robust innovation pipeline of  solutions*
