Position: Sr. Informatics Analyst – Tableau Developer
Work Location: Hartford, CT
Duration: 6+ Months
POSITION SUMMARY
The Data Science organization is dedicated to exploring and maximizing Big Data opportunities for Client. Data Science is driving innovation at Client by applying science to the most critical business challenges in a dynamic and evolving environment. Leveraging cutting edge technology and advanced analytics, Data Science finds solutions that drive strategic decisions to increase efficiency, catalyze growth, influence product design, and improve consumer experience and health outcomes for clients members.
Fundamental Components:
Under general supervision, conducts analyses or produces reports of varied healthcare data to assess client products and programs. Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
- Utilize Business Intelligence or analytic tools to perform analytics in response to business requests.
- Support the goals of a Center of Excellence by providing guidance on using BI tools and applying visualization best practices.
- Investigates and evaluates the application of various BI solutions to most effectively meet business needs.
- Documents methods and specifications clearly; contributes to presentation of results, findings and conclusions to constituents.
- Manages personal resources efficiently to complete assigned projects accurately and on time.
- Willing to learn new techniques, tools and approaches and in turn train others on these skills.
- Participates in the development of project plans and timelines.
- Responsible for commitments to quality and on-time deliverables.
- Motivated and is willing to understand and probe into technical details and data irregularities.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
- 5+ years of relevant analytic experience within healthcare environment
- Professional Certified Tableau Desk Top required with 4+ years development.
- Experience with a variety of data sources a plus (Hadoop, Netezza, MS SQL Server, etc)
- Experience with Tableau Server is a plus
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. Able to present to various audiences.
- Create and write training materials for visualizations
EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree in scientific or quantitative discipline.
