This person partners with the business to understand their challenges, translate them into requirements, researches possible solutions, develops and delivers solutions. The SAP FI-CO Consultant will ensure the creation of production solutions which address quality, performance, availability, scalability, and integrity. 
 
This person must be self-motivated and results-oriented with strong understanding of SAP Finance and Controlling Modules at a minimum. Understand and collaborate with key users and management in Finance and other closely related areas to understand their processes and challenges.
 
 
 ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  
- Analysis, design, delivery, and support of business applications related to the FICO area

- Assist team members and customers with problem solving related to software application performance and usage; lead support effort to ensure business operations are not interrupted or delayed

- Working with EDI, Third party interfaces, custom reports and table extracts

 
EXPERIENCE/EXPERTISE:  
- Extensive SAP FICO knowledge and experience

- Deep functional knowledge of data, processes, and integration points with other SAP modules, SAP and industry standard best practices. Ability to ensure strong alignment between the business requirements/needs and the
application solutions/services

- Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP FICO hands-on configuration, implementation and support experience

- Knowledge of Integration with other SAP modules

- Experience defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines

- Strong configuration and design skills

- Excellent problem identifying and solving aptitude

- Proven capability to influence business teams by understanding requirements and describing the standard SAP business processes - Prior experience working in the Retail industry a plus

- Bachelor’s degree - Math, Science, Finance or Computer Science preferred or equivalent work experience
