Required Tech: 3+ python scripting, 3+ (Perl or Bash scripting), 5+ years testing in robotics, medical systems, semiconductor, etc.
Job Description:
The individual will be responsible for testing key modules of the production software. The test engineer will work closely with the software team leader and software engineers to define, execute and document test cases. Also part of the job is to automate test execution, develop unit testers (in Python), manage the sw configuration on the tools, coordinate sw deliverables from multiple sw teams and plan and execute test plans for the tools.
Skills and Experiences
• Minimum 5 years embedded software testing experience in commercial, medical or real time systems
• Minimum 5 years real time operating system experience on Unix, Solaris or Linux
• Minimum 3 years Unix scripting experience. i.e. csh, bash, Perl
• Minimum 3 years’ experience writing Python code
• Experience translating requirements into test cases and test plans
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience in C/C++ is a plus
• Experience with automated test tools is a plus
• Experience in Clearcase and Clearquest is a plus
Education
BS or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline
