This resource will be responsible for the strategic, tactical planning for the software testing and leading the quality assurance activities. The QA manager is responsible for ensuring the Corporate Initiative and Day to Day Programs are complying to the program quality management system and
customer requirements.
They will be leading the effort to develop and/or assist with testing system methodology and design approach, recommending alternative techniques and providing mentoring and coaching related to primary areas of responsibility. This resource will also be charged with developing the master test plan, standard operating procedures, test risk management plan, and test metrics management and assessment plan.
The incumbent is responsible for budget preparation, staff and vendor management.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Knowledge and experience in healthcare domain
* Experience in software testing, as a lead and as a hands-on tester
* Knowledge, understanding of, and experience with multi-platform testing architectures, practices and standards across Windows, UNIX and mainframe platforms.
* Awareness of new testing technologies / approaches and how they could be leveraged to benefit validation strategies and initiatives that includes Agile, DevOps, etc.
* Experience in testing life cycle methodologies and complex enterprise application integration testing disciplines
* Strong analytical skills and proven ability in determining the root cause of problems and base set of conditions for their occurrence.
* Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software quality initiatives and practices within the SDLC; as well as test management tools (e.g., Client QC, Client ALM, Test Director)
* Experience with test risk management and development of testing risk management and mitigation plans
* Experience with metrics determination and analysis; including development and management of testing metrics (e.g., iterations of test, inputs and entry criteria to test, etc.)
* Exhibit the ability to assess the priority and severity of issues by understanding business objectives, technical costs, and user needs as well as weigh alternatives for solution.
* Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Proven communication skills that demonstrate understanding of complex technical details, clarity of thought, and the ability to persuade others.
*Abilities/Skills:*
* Resource management experience in large scale system deployments
* Excellent leadership and coaching skills
* Must be able to conduct stake holder meetings and effectively work with them for small or large scale projects
* Effective negotiation skills
* Must be able to manage test schedules and budgets
* Effective organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communications skills
* Self-motivated, adaptable to change, forward-thinking
* Must be able to prioritize and manage time under tight deadlines, and demonstrate initiative in problem-solving ability to engage in continuous learning
* Experience with Testing tools such as TOAD, ParaSoft SOA, SOAP UI, Selenium, Client ALM, etc., is preferred.
