Job Description:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in
creative ways.
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good
judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel across various operational disciplines.
• Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
• Acts as a subject matter expert regarding Project Management methodologies, tools, techniques, principles, and best practices.
• May provide assistance to junior level staff with more complex tasks that require a higher level of understanding of functions.
• May escalate issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.
• Mentor other staff as applicable.
• Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree desirable.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 5 – 8 years’ related experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience.
• Project Management Certificate from accredited college or university desired.
• Current PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Superior organization, planning, and time-management skills.
• Proven track record of using PMI best practices in managing projects of all sizes and complexity.
• Ability to build effective teams and motivate others.
• Experience using MS Office tools including MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and clients simultaneously.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changing priorities and strategic directions
ADDENDUM:
• Facilitate the definition of project objectives and budget in collaboration with senior management, project sponsors, and other key stakeholders.
• Draft and maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation including but not limited to the Project Charter,
Project Plan, Deployment Schedule, Budget, RACI, Meeting Agenda/Minutes, Status Reports, Executive Dashboards,
Risk Plan, Communication Plan, Issue Log, Action Items Log, Change Management Log, and Lessons Learned Report.
• Determine the key performance metrics and measures upon which each project will be evaluated during execution and upon its completion.
• Lead all cross-functional teams and efforts associated with project execution and manage the completion of deliverables
in accordance with project plans.
• Schedule and facilitate project team meetings and other workgroup events.
• Successfully drive project through the effective coordination of resources and the timely resolution of project issues and roadblocks.
• Establish and maintain centralized online project repository for project documentation, team resources and tools, reference materials, and leadership reporting.
• Ensure project deliverables and products undergo appropriate levels of testing and meet quality standards and expectations.
• Oversee the change management process to protect project from scope creep and foster proper communication of approved changes.
