Position Description and Responsibilities:
· Client is looking for an experienced QA Software Automation Engineer with strong development skills and a passion for testing to join our growing Cybersecurity team.
· As a Software Automation Engineer, s/he will work alongside the QA Automation Team and be responsible for expanding and developing build and test infrastructure for evaluating software quality as it pertains to product cybersecurity.
· This is a unique and challenging role that calls for a strong passion for quality and technology.
· It combines the “building” aspect of software development with the “testing” part of quality assurance.
· The ideal candidate is highly technical with a solid foundation in software engineering, and has a proven commitment to quality with understanding of test concepts, practices, and procedures.
Work as part of the Cybersecurity team and liaison with the global Automation team to design and implement the test automation framework using Python, Selenium and/or RobotFramework
· Execute automated tests on multiple environments
· Expand automation framework to provide additional test capabilities
· Design, code and document automated test cases within a defined framework to ensure quality of our product
· As needed, translate existing manual regression test cases into automated tests
· Improve the reliability and repeatability of automated testing
· Analyze existing systems to find areas for improvement
· Conduct diagnostic analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex software issues
· Evolve automated test framework to achieve higher test throughput, increased accessibility and test execution flexibility
Required Skills:
· Minimum BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
· Minimum 3 years practical experience in automation tools
· Experience testing complex multi-tiered web based systems and complex data-driven applications
· Able to work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project
· Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile
· Experience Investigating and Diagnosing software/hardware application errors
· Experience installing Operating Systems and PC hardware
· Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
· Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
· Expert in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues
· Excellent planning and organization skills, and committed to delivering on aggressive deadlines
· Strong communication skills – written & verbal
Desired Skills:
· Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, Financial, Military, ex)
· Understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework
· Understanding of the Federal RMF and ATO process
· Understanding of DICOM
· Unit Testing Experience
· Familiarity with Quality Center
· SQL / Database experience
