- Technical role to enable/maintain ServiceNow system stability and functionality
- Under direction of release manager, leads development effort against release backlog. Coordinates with outside developer staff as needed
- Maintains technical environment:
- MID servers, single sign-on (SSO), mobile approvals/notifications, orchestration operations, multiple instances, update sets/team development
- business rules, client scripts, script includes, workflows, UI policies, UI actions
- Import sets/transform maps, clone operations, system policy, system scheduling, system security, UI, system mailboxes, wizards, etc.
- Enables/manages web services and system integrations:
- Maintains code base:
- JSON, REST, SOAP, AJAX, AngularJS, Jelly, Glide, Javascript, CSS, HMTL, XML
- Primary technical contact for incidents/requests escalated to ServiceNow
- Technical lead on patching and version update preparation
- Reviews release notes from ServiceNow
- Recommends next version to architect
- Evaluates new functionality vs. in-house tailoring/customization
- Determines where custom code may be replaced by new OoB code
- Maintains distinct deployment paths when project/upgrade effort underway: production support (Dev/Test/Prod) and project (RBA/Sandbox/Prod)
- Configuration Management product owner
- Creates/maintains manual CIs in non-discoverable CI classes
- Coordinates with HP uCMDB system owner to maintain CI discovery/population
- Maintains business service maps
- Master Data product owner
- Maintains groups, Responsibility Matrix, org units, location data, people data and integrations supporting same
- Creates non-standard accounts (service accounts, admin accounts, etc.) in ITSM
