*Notes from the manager: **Hired candidate will be working on Products within Cloud platform product team, OpenStack, Pivotal, Cloud Platform As A Service. Candidates must have *5-7 years in cloud architecture, as it is a senor role and candidates who have done cloud product production in the

past, are ideal. 

*Technical Skills needed to perform this role/job:* Cloud architecture, open stack (preferred), Kubernetes, Chef/Puppet, 

*Alternatives to the Top 5 Technical Skills:* VMware, cloud foundry, Docker and skills with architecture design and presentation. 

*Type of background they are looking for:* Retail Industry and enterprise company experience are great, but not required.

The Cloud Engineering team is driving an exciting transformation of the way software is developed, validated and deployed globally at GapTech, using principles of Cloud-Native, DevOps and Continuous Delivery. 

The Cloud Platform Engineer will be responsible for the evolution, support and operations of GapTech’s internal application runtime offering across public and private cloud.

You would be helping application teams through their set up and deployment troubles, and putting in solutions that are automatable and solve for the long-term.

Qualifications:

5+ years of professional experience with 3+ years relevant experience

Hands on experience installing, supporting and operating a hosted Cloud Foundry platform required

Hands on experience installing, supporting and operating a Kubernetes based CaaS ecosystem desirable

Demonstrable understanding of public cloud and virtualization platforms

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Drives for business outcomes and results

Team player

Adaptable to changing requirements and direction
