Description:

This individual will apply engineering best practices to analyze, design, develop, deploy and support software solutions, and/or infrastructure implementations/upgrades. You will also develop software and systems under test driven development and continuous integration practices; establish monitoring and automation processes. This is a development environment, which moves between diverse tasks with cooperation and persistence, helping to bring out the best in others. Future efforts include modernizing current technical stack/processes and automation efforts.

This position is apart of an existing agile team of experienced Engineers. The team members are co-located and do much of their work in a mob programming setting. The team member has to be comfortable sitting and coding with others.

Qualifications:

Experience and demonstrated understanding of engineering best practices to include analyzing, designing, developing, deploying and supporting software solutions, and/or infrastructure implementations/upgrades
Strong problem-solving and communication skills to lead change and adoption of new technologies
Specific technical requirements/platforms will vary, but looking for more focus on back-end integration with multiple data sources. Targeting to make the dashboard/charting coherent and presentable to end users
Ability to create different modes in the platform allowing multiple user technical levels to be successful
Looking for someone who can help move the bar forward by challenging current state and future state – be able to articulate why the new solution fits the path forward
Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work with a limited set of requirements
Desire to work collaboratively on creative solutions, as well as take initiative to work with minimal supervision
5+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment leveraging BDD/TDD and whole team approaches within a fully-dedicated Agile team
Proficient coding skills in one or more OOP languages: Java, C# o Experience with functional programming paradigms and design patterns based on immutability
Working experience using Apache Spark or Hadoop MapReduce to process large data sets
Application of Basic Object-Oriented Concepts and knowledge of S.O.L.I.D.
Working knowledge of micro service design patterns and implementations
Proficient coding skills in JavaScript, with one or more frameworks: React, AngularJS, NodeJS, or similar
Working knowledge of relational and non relational databases: mssql, mongodb, redis
Strong written and oral communication skills
An understanding of continuous integration (CI) build environments
Working knowledge of Azure or AWS is a plus
