the successful candidate will be tasked with the following:
· perform custom integrations using api’s specializing in rhel (redhat enterprise linux)
· orchestrate and execute the build of redhat linux servers
- in vmware - install esx servers and patch in new servers
· bring servers online and onboarding them into monitoring and management solutions
· maintain and operate rhel satellite and other relevant orchestration technology
- provide input on server and network security
· assist with infrastructure improvement and automation projects in support of security operations
· other application development server tasks as required
the ideal candidate will be able to prove the following:
· experience performing custom integrations using api’s in rhel
· deep linux environment engineering expertise
- understanding of vpn tunnels, subnets
- vmware expertise
- ability to write scripts in bash, perl and python languages
· strong experience executing build of redhat linux servers
- experience in it security a big plus
- splunk experience in a large environment
- knowledge in rest api use a big plus
· track record of supporting multi site linux server and application hosting environments
