Data Architect – DW/BI – Columbus GA – *(with 20% travel to Columbia, SC. Travel covered by customer*)

- Provide hands on technical leadership and subject matter expertise in  the areas of big data technology, cloud based data services andbusiness intelligence data delivery.

- Play a key role in defining and implementing a next generation data architecture with the scalability and flexibility to perform regardless of data volumes or types that provides data for decision making under a variety of delivery models

- Contribute experience based perspective to the design and delivery of  client’s strategic business information needs with a focus on extending and growing the organization’s use of cloud based data services and big data technologies.

- Represent the department in interactions with the organization’s growing cloud infrastructure initiatives, working with the organization’s cloud infrastructure architect as needed to communicate/determine requirements and system specifications.

*Required Skills:*

- 12+ years of experience; 7 year experience in the data warehousing and business intelligence fields; 3 years as an Architect
- Current, hands-on knowledge of NoSQL big data technologies with Casandra/MongoDB experience
- Experience with Cloud computing concepts
- Strong technical acumen and excellent problem-solving skills with a strong aptitude for data and business analysis.
- Solid understanding of security and privacy from a data and process perspective.
- Have customer facing experience and excellent presentation and communication skills.

Experience in Agile-Scrum environment.
