AT&T is seeking an experienced hands-on *Senior Wireless Analytics Developer* with the chops to design and develop advanced *LTE / 5G / Wi-Fi* analytics software products, leveraging a unique rich and large-scale device-sourced dataset to deliver unprecedented insights and value to our customers. 

The ideal candidate will be passionate about and have experience of developing wireless or mobile software components, protocols, tools or solutions, where deep wireless domain knowledge is required, combined with strong hands-on object-oriented software development skills. 

You will thrive in creating solutions to real world problems and seeing the results of your work deployed at truly impressive scales within AT&T for a variety of use cases and customers. 

*Key Responsibilities:*

· Design, develop and maintain advanced wireless analytics software components and solutions architected for re-use and able to run at Big Data production scales from millions of mobile devices

· Participates in all phases of the analytics development process, transforming mobile device instrumented metrics into powerful descriptive, inference and predictive analytics

· Create and review functional and design specifications

· Work together with mobile engineering and quality teams to ensure mobile device instrumented metrics are of high quality to support the advanced wireless analytics software components

· Take ownership of the analytics components from requirements, development thru to customer delivery, support and maintenance

· Collaborates with other software engineers, analytics engineers & QA to create solid technical designs, and robust, maintainable and testable implementations

*Job Requirements:*

· This is a RF Engineer who also has Java or C++ coding experience

· The wireless protocol knowledge is key here. It must be wireless protocol and not WiFi.

· The contractor will basically read data coming in from hand sets and then develop tools and reports for AT&T to use in finding new areas for 5G deployment so it must be an RF engineer not a wireless test but and RF engineer.

*Requirements for the role:*

· 8+ years’ experience in professional product software development design and implementation

· 5+ years programming experience in hands-on object-oriented analysis, design, development and debug using *Java (preferred) or C++,* etc.

· Strong experience and working knowledge of *Mobile or Wireless technologies, protocols and architectures (e.g. 5G, LTE, VoLTE, Wifi, etc.)

· Experienced and committed to delivering high-quality software using industry best practices (e.g., test-driven development, Agile product development methods, CI/CD, DevOps, etc.)

· Regular working knowledge of Linux/Unix, and industry tools; Git, Eclipse, IntelliJ IDE, Jenkins

· Organized, proactive and self-starter, with strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills

· Collaborative / team player

· Thirst for continuous learning and desire to look for innovative and creative solutions to problems

· Highly motivated to work within a close nit fast-paced agile product development team, working with local and remote teams, as part of the larger Chief Data Office Business Unit and AT&T family

· BSCS, EE, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent

*Bonus (but no essential) Requirements:*

· Experience or interest in advanced analytics, machine learning, data science

· Experience of developing software utilizing Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, HDFS
