Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Woonsocket, RI

Job Description:

Translate business requirements into application design
includes working with business groups to review requirements documents.
Strong/clear written communication skills required.
Document it in ms word and Visio
UML diagrams/use cases
Determine database tables required to store the requested user data.

Indexing,
Partitioning
Space projections
Compression
Other table/index options, Etc…
Determine new/changed programs

Must be able to independently do research/learning on the current system,
reviewing both code and documents.

This includes Java, Unix shell scripts
Database queries/DML
Needs experience working with large datasets billion rows+
Needs experience developing software that results in high throughput, and
service-based systems performing at least 100’s of transactions per second.
Should be familiar with common challenges and solutions
Database query tuning
Index methods
Join methods
Optimization techniques
Tracing techniques.
