Test Manager:
The Role of Test Manager is to effectively lead and manage a testing team in execution of test scripts while maintaining an effective testing process.
Candidate must be a strong leader with experience managing multiple test resources through quality assurance testing.
Candidate must have strong leadership skills and overall test management background with 2-4 years experience on financial projects.
Test Manager Responsibilities:
*Working with the Project Managers and other stake holders of the project in reviewing the Testing Schedules and the Timelines of the Project.
*Working with the senior resource managers in identifying Testing resources for the project.
*Scheduling and conducting Knowledge Transfer sessions for the Testing resources involving the Business Analysts.
*Monitoring, guiding and coordinating the Testing resources during all the UAT phases.
*Working with the Project managers, Business analysts and other stakeholders and coming up with a agreed User Acceptance Testing strategy for the project.
*Managing any risks associated with the testing and taking preventive actions when the risks are unacceptable.
*Taking responsibility for all phases of testing and the management of testing activities
*Taking responsibility for on time validation and verification
*Planning, conducting and controlling meetings with respect to test planning, knowledge transfer sessions and subsequent testing activities.
*Taking responsibility for reviewing, approval and sign offs of all testing deliverables (Test Plans, Test scripts, Test completion reports)
*Preparing weekly Test reports on the testing progress of the project and sending them to higher management for their review.
Core Skills:
*Test plan and test script development in a Banking environment
*Use of a Testing tool such as Quality Center/ALM.
*Ability to multi-task easily while prioritizing and flexible to change
*Excellent oral and written communication skills
*Extremely detail oriented
*Ability to deal with tight timelines, limited resources and still deliver on time and within scope
*Ability to facilitate and coordinate meetings in a effective manner
*Cash Management or Commercial Banking experience, Loan Origination Systems, Deposit system understanding
*Scanning systems
*Check printing systems
*Routing files via Middleware such as Sterling GIS
*Strong skills in Defect Tracking, prioritization and resolution
