Job Description  

The Spark Developer will be working with the technical lead as part of agile team and closely aligned with business/technology partner teams to develop analytical solutions. The ideal candidate will be an excellent

communicator and distinguished not only by expertise in Spark and Hadoop, but also by high levels of creativity. 

Requirements
· 3+ years of hands on experience in Spark and Hadoop

· 7+ years of overall IT experience

· Proven experience in building Data Driven applications using a combination of Java/Scala and the Spark framework

· Excellent understanding of Hadoop architecture

· Strong in programming concepts and experience in R or Python

· Experience in writing algorithms and pseudo codes

· Proficient in building RESTful API's


Preferred
· Communications industry experience

· Experience with analytical notebooks

· Big Data related certifications

· Hadoop administration experience

· Exposure to continuous deployment methodologies - DevOps, Agile/Scrum

· Experience in developing Machine Learning models
