We have an exciting opportunity for a SAS Administrator to work on a long-term assignment with a global financial institution in Wilmington, DE. 
 
Position Description:
 
Oversee all SAS activities to ensure goals and needs of the SAS user community are met.
• Monitor production environment availability
• Proactively engaged and address incident prior to impact
• Complete change tasks by following change management process
• Perform technical PVT
• Perform troubleshooting and escalation of production impacting issues
• Complete access administration functions when necessary
• Support of lower environments
 
Overall purpose of role:
- 24x7 Prod support for 3rd Party Applications
 
Key Accountabilities and Skills required :

Candidate must understand the hardware and software interactions in order to optimize the system settings that will drive out the best solution.
Performance and ensure proper integration of SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence tools.
Strong research and diagnosis capabilities to support root-cause resolution of technical problems.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical users/colleagues.
Familiarity with standard change management processes.
Hands-on experience with SAS Software Product Suite including SAS Management Console, SAS Environment Manager, Enterprise Guide, SAS Studio,
Web Report Studio, Stored Processes, SAS Procedures and data manipulation techniques.
Expertise with multiple database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, and SQL programming / reporting.
Good command of methodologies for importing / exporting data to and from Microsoft products such as MS Excel and MS Access.
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux platforms including shell scripting, SSH, Putty and file systems.
Experience working on SAS upgrades, patches and configuration changes.
Hands-on experience with SAS GRID installation, configuration and performance improvement.

Basic Qualifications

Must be able to identify issues, and risk and make proposed remediation plans to management. • 4-6 years of SAS Admin experience,

Knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux)

Demonstrated knowledge of operational Controls • Multi-Tasking

Self-Starting, little supervision
 
Preferred Qualifications
